Privacy

The short version: this site collects nothing at all unless you fill in the survey — and even then, only what you type.

Privacy note

What this site does not do

  • No cookies. No advertising or analytics trackers of any kind.
  • No accounts, no logins, no passwords.
  • No personal or financial details are ever requested — the calculator runs entirely in your browser and nothing you type into it is sent anywhere.
  • Nothing collected here is ever sold, rented, or shared with anyone.

What the survey stores

If you complete the survey, we store exactly what you chose and typed: your answers to the ten questions, plus your email address only if you chose to give one. Leave the email blank and your response is completely anonymous.

We also record the moment your response arrived, and how long the form took to fill in (a simple check that keeps automated spam out). That is all.

We deliberately do not store your IP address.

A short-lived, scrambled version of it is held for a few hours purely to stop one person flooding the survey, and it is never saved alongside your answers. The stored survey data contains no network identifiers at all — there is nothing in it that could be traced back to your device.

Where it goes and who sees it

Responses are written to private storage on this site’s hosting platform (Vercel), readable only by me. They inform how the proposal is argued and are published only as aggregates — for example, “most readers said the back-test moved them most.” Individual responses and free-text comments are not published, and email addresses are never displayed anywhere.

If you gave an email, it will be used only to send you the plan and occasional news about it. There is no mailing list running today; nothing will be sent until there is, and every message will carry a working unsubscribe link.

Changing your mind

You can ask for your response to be deleted at any time. Because responses are anonymous by design, the practical way to identify yours is the email address you left; if you left none, there is nothing tying the response to you in the first place. Standing promise

This site asks for no account numbers, no Social Security number, no date of birth, and no financial details — ever. One optional email field is the only personal information it will ever request.
